I think this quote means that fame and glory is not all important. What truly matters is the character of a person. That’s all you need to win and feel right. Being true is a helpfully tool toward success. You can gain everything by being true. You’ll be more trusted to people, you gain honest and trust back as well. Not everything is about winning.
